Yes. Your inventory, photos, and maintenance history are tied to your account and not shared. You can export everything or delete your account at any time.

What counts as an 'asset'?

Anything in your home that has a useful life and may need maintenance, repair, or replacement. Common ones: HVAC, water heater, appliances, roof, gutters, windows, sump pump, garage door. Finishes like flooring and paint count too.

How do the reminders work?

Once you've inventoried your assets, HomeFiles generates a maintenance schedule based on manufacturer intervals and best practice. You get one daily digest email with what's due, and you can subscribe to the calendar feed in Google, Apple, or Outlook.

We pull up the make and model on file and walk you through the most common fixes. It's not a replacement for a licensed pro — but it solves most simple issues and helps you decide when to call one.

Can I manage more than one home?

Yes. Add as many homes as you own — primary residence, rentals, vacation properties — each with its own calendar and reminders, all under one account.
